Today was All Roads Lead to the Sea day,a block of the month I’m enrolled in at Stitchin Heaven.  A quilt designed by Country Creations, its a spectacularly difficult quilt to put together!  Each section is like a jigsaw puzzle, sewing what the pattern calls connector corners and others might call diagonal flippy corners on to various size pieces, some even rectangular corners, then figuring out how to put all the bits together. Even the cutting is a challenge as the chart is so small, and the colours on the chart don’t always match the colours of the fabric!  It requires one to have lots of peace and quiet, and time to mull and think as the section is cut and worked out. But, very rewarding once the section is complete…isn’t this a pretty scene?

Here’s a picture of the directions, coloured shapes on a grid representing the sizes to cut  First thing to do is photocopy it and make it a bit larger so its at least readable!
