Standard

Not much done today…a little bit of applique on another Dutch Tiles block, and some pieces of paper piecing a feathered stars block.

I’m working on A Flock of Feathered Stars by Carolyn McCormick, using green batiks with pink and orange accents.  The one thing that really bugs me about paper piecing is having to rip out all the paper!  So after some practice, I’m using freezer paper for the foundation piecing…there’s a great tutorial here.  I wouldn’t recommend this for beginners, as paper piecing is confusing enough, but if you have a good understanding of regular paper piecing, the freezer paper method is the way to go!
